We spent a night together

Ha, Wen and I had a night together with 2 bottles of wine and some snacks. I have known those two friends for more than 4 years now. We met in the student accommodation of London Institute (is now University of Art London), which is the organization we all attended to, though we are major in different courses. The friendship developed quite slowly, which I always prefer.

Anyway, the night began with a dinner together in China Town- Yang Cheng (a Chinese Restaurant next to Prince Charles Cinema) for celebrating my 30th birthday and my marriage. Yang Cheng is the first Chinese Restaurant I have ever been in London. I vaguely remember the first time there with other two girls. The food was so delicious that reminded me of the restaurant near my university in Taipei. Yang Cheng seems a symbolic place to me now. So it was not so difficult to choose which restaurant to go to while we were wandering in TimeOut dinning places list.

We were all so busy for the last month that we didn't exchange our lives, so this dinner has opened our chatter boxes. The converstations couldn't be finished during 1 hour dinner time and Wen wanted to take shower in Ha's place. So we decided to have a drink in Ha's place instead of a cafe or pub. So we drank and talk, dance and laugh... and finally we were all tired and fell to sleep.

It was such a simple and easy occasion, we didn't have to socialize with others, like many times when we go to private view. we didn't need to spend lots of money for the next glass of wine, like what we do in lots of bars. We didn't need to worry about the time is too late for taking bus or tube home. I really love this meeting, but I only realize that afterwards. I text Wen & Ha, and you know what!! we are going to do it again this Friday!! (maybe I will get tired of it this time :-p )

Turn 30 in Nov. 2005

I turned 30 on 14th Nov. 2005

I didn't feel much different from that day and the day before.

But I know when I was 18, age 30 is old to me.
Age 30 should come with a standard of good job, high income or certain reputation in the industry.

I have normal a job, middle income, no reputation in the industry on 14th Nov. 2005.
The 18-year-old me would think that I am quite an invisible 30-year-old woman.
Of course, wouldn't be proud of me.

My life has a big change at the age of 25.
In 2001, I gave up what I had built in the industry and moved to London to study.
That's lots of effort, time, friends and achievement I left behind.
The day I arrived in London, everything started from ground zero.
Now its been 4 years- 2 years study & 2 years work - and I am about to move to another place.
Again, the 18-year-old me would think that is stupid to give up and start again.
But what an 18-year-old knows.

I'd listen to the 30-year-old woman. Because that is what people say, " Live at the moment!"

We invited some friends over for dinner peter played violin and i watched DVD spending my holidays kitchen is the lovely place where we love to enjoy time together the last day was not so difficult to leave because we know we are meeting up in Belgium on Friday, which is 5 days away to attend Peter's aunt's 60th birthday I prepared my pink luggage which was my birthday present from my old mom - Enzo. on my way to the station thinking that I'd really come back to this place as soon as I can.
